Back at The Leicester Square Theatre for the Christmas run, Stick Man is the wonderful stage adaptation of the Julia Donaldson classic.
Having taken the girls to see the show last year and loving it we jumped at the chance to head back this year to share the joy with The Essex Husband as well.

Last weekend saw the annual Christmas offering from the Ideal Home show team.
After having great fun at The Ideal Home Show in the summer we were really excited to head back for a taste of all things festive ahead of December arriving.
I’m always impressed with the ‘wow factor’ that hits you as you exit Earls Court station for one of the Ideal Home Show events – and being greaterdby Father Christmas, a snow machine and lots of Christmas trees certainly got us all excited for what we would find inside.
The show was packed, to be honest busy to the point of Read More →
Having spent the best part of 25 years sat next to my mother at Brisbane Rd watching our beloved O’s together it should come as no surprise that I don’t think that sporting events are a strange place to find woman and girls hanging out together. That said, I never did think the day would come that I would be seen heading to watch WWE live with a daughter of my own! Football yes, but grown men in pants pretending to want to beat each other up? Not so much!
But the day arrived and, with one very exited 5-year-old daughter and an even more excited 33-year-old friend, I headed to Wembley Arena for my very first experience of Wrestling! As soon as we got off the train you could feel the excitement in the air, these wrestling fans really take things very seriously. WWE themed clothing seamed very important, we must have stood out like a sore thumb in Read More →
The summer holidays, six blissful weeks with my darling children. Now while I adore having all this time to spend them, and I really do love it, it just get so damn expensive trying to find things for us to do. You see I’m not very good at staying in and relaxing, I prefer adventures, so I’m always looking for fab ideas of what to do with my little little ladies.
Today I have a wonderful guest post for you all (and for me) on the best hidden London hotspots that everyone should visit. Read More →
A few weeksn back the grls and I took my mother for a day out to Kew Gardens. Living only a short car ride away from RHS Hyde Hall we have recently discovered a love of lancaped gardens and beauftuil plants, and seeing as my fingers are as green as they are purple it is one of the only chances we have to really see the true beauty that plants (when lovingly cared for) can bring.
Kew Gardens
The gardens, set in West London, are famous for their historic glasshouses, beautiful woods, Royal buildings and precious trees. Plus there is also plenty for children to see and do, including giant plant tunnels and treetop walkway, making Kew Gardens the perfect destination for a family day out.
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the kindest to us on our visit, but we still managed to have a wonderful day, I don’t think I will ever tire of watching my daughters and my Mother bond so well… Read More →
Last weekend we were invited down to check out the great Kids Eat Free At Maze London offer. Here is how we got on…
I see London as one big adventure. 30 years of living only a train ride away and magic still hasn’t worn off. If I am ever feeling down or uninspired, a walk though London, come rain or shine, never fails to pick me up and deliver me right back to my happy place safe and sound.
Since the girls came along London has been viewed through fresh eyes. The wonder and magic of this big city was reborn with them. Every visit is new, exciting, fresh.

Last month saw the launch of the new, and very exciting, Pho kids menu. Pho, the super awesome Vietnamese restaurant chain, has been successfully filling the bellies of hungry diners in the UK since their first restaurant opened in Clerkenwell in 2005, but, up until now, there had been no separate Pho kids menu.
We were invited down to their bustling Soho restaurant last Saturday afternoon to let our little ones loose on the new Pho kids menu to see if they gave it the two thumbs up.
Pho Kids Menu Review
The Pho kids menu is a scaled down version of their wonderful main menu. Sticking to the traditional Vietnamese street food they are famous for, just with smaller dishes that are less spicy than their adult counterparts. Read More →
There are many things I have rediscovered since having children. Ice cream, Lego and trips to the cinema, to name but a few.
The problem is though I know approach these activities with an adult mindset. I know that as tasty as ice-cream is, it’s not really the best idea for breakfast, I want to make Lego buildings according to instruction books and know that the cinema is a place to be quiet and watch the film, making me a little nervous to take young children here with me.
When a friend told me that many multiplexes have a cinema kids club at weekends (that normally only cost a pound or two per ticket) I knew I was on to a winner. Read More →
