There is something quite wonderful about farms in the springtime. In fact there is something quite wonderful about Willows Farm Herefordshire all year round, but it is especially nice the spring.
Heading there a few weeks back with 4 children in tow (it would appear I have become that Mother who always have a few extra little ones around at all times) we were full of excitement for baby lambs and tractor rides. Regardless of the weather I like to head out and about whenever possible. There is no such thing as bad weather I tell the girls, just bad clothing! As soon as we had wrapped ourselves up in some suitable outdoor clothing (think thermals and wooly hats that day) we were good to go.
Willows Farm Hertfordshire – Best Bits
Willows Farm has so much on offer in terms of both outdoor and indoor play. I highly recommend visiting the birds of prey (and catching the show if you can) as these animals are so fascinating and the staff in that area are friendly and knowledgeable around the animals in question. The indoor petting area is also lovely. The girls had a great time holding the small pets, and there were no time limits on how long you could stay in there which was great.
Alongside the animals there is plenty of other fun to be had. The girls loved the tractor ride (especially driving through the floods) and had a blast on the zip wire and climbing frames. In the summer months there are also inflatables to enjoy, but while the weather is a little on the temperamental side then there are the two great indoor play areas to keep you occupied (and dry). There is also an indoor picnic area which I think iss a great idea, and much-needed on the day of our visit.

Exit the M25 at Junction 22. At the next roundabout take the exit onto Coursers Road. Willows Farm Village is located 300m along here on the left hand side.
Willows Farm Village is open daily throughout the year from 10am to 5.30pm - Last entry 4.30pm – I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
