Summer fun: Five things to do in Brighton with the kids – Guest Post

Today I welcome Millie Spencer to An Essex Wife to share with you the best of what Brighton has to offer…
This summer, why not book a train ticket to Brighton online and treat the kids to a fun-filled adventure? There’s so much to see and do, so gather the gang and experience the sights and sounds of this bustling city.
Here are five activities to enjoy:
A trip to the beach
What would a family holiday be without a trip to the beach? Brighton has a stunning coastline that stretches for miles, so make the most of the great outdoors. Play in the sea, relax in a deckchair or indulge in a stick of rock while the little ones play. Although there are pebbles instead of sand, Brighton beach is incredibly popular, so see what all the fuss is about – just don’t forget your jelly shoes.
Experience the pier
Roll up, roll up and enjoy all the fun of the fair at the Brighton Pier – one of the UK’s most-loved attractions. Open day and night, the Pier’s packed with fairground rides, lively arcades and traditional games and is 1,772 feet of fun, fun, fun. The Brighton Pier Games will take place throughout the summer months, so join in the fun and experience a holiday to remember.
A day at SEA LIFE Brighton
If it’s raining, head to SEA LIFE Brighton and come face-to-face with some of the most incredible creatures on the planet including awesome sharks, huge sting rays and graceful turtles. This spectacular aquarium has just been reopened following a refurbishment and is proud to announce the addition of Jellyfish Discovery (where you can learn more about these fascinating creatures) and a Behind the Scenes tour.
A ride on the Brighton Wheel
Buy a cheap train ticket from a reputable company and take the kids on the Brighton Wheel. Complete with glass pods that offer exquisite, panoramic views over the city, this attraction is great fun for all ages – so long as you’re not scared of heights. Spot some of Brighton’s famous attractions from the air and a see the stunning coastline like you’ve never seen before.
Fun at the Brighton Marina
The Brighton Marina is ideal for families and is the perfect place to explore. Here you’ll find bowling alleys, a cinema complex, water sports, mouth-watering eateries and plenty of shops – all within close proximity. You’ll also see boats of all shapes and sizes bobbing in the water and can even
enjoy a ride on one if you’re lucky.
Brighton is one of the most fashionable cities in the UK, so come along and check it out.
