With the school holidays well and truly upon us its time to start thinking about how we are going to entertain our little angels for the next 6 weeks.
There are so many things to do in the Essex country parks this summer that you wont have to listen to the wails of ‘I’m bored’ for very long at all.
Essex County Council owns eight country parks and a heritage site, which are located throughout the county, they are:
- Belhus Woods Country Park
- Cressing Temple Heritage Site
- Cudmore Grove Country Park
- Danbury Country Park
- Great Notley and the Flitch Way Country Park
- Hadleigh Country Park
- Marsh Farm Country Park
- Thorndon Country Park
- Weald Country Park
We happen to love all of these but I think Great Notley, Weald, Marsh Farm and Thorndon (with its famous Gruffalo Hunt) are my favorites.
Through the summer the Visit Parks team have put together a wide range of events ensuring there are things to do in the Essex country parks this summer to suit everyone.
