Blogging has brought many great people and opportunities into my life, it’s hard to imagine now what my life would be with it.
I’ve found it really hard to pick just 5 things I love about Blogging, but I’ll give it a go.
1. Meeting new people has been my number one, super dooper, favourite thing about blogging. I have met some amazing new friends and wonderfully inspiring people. This has made such a positive difference to my life and I will be eternally grateful for how tapping away at my little laptop has changed my life and friendship groups in such a profound way.
2. Through blogging I have been invited to some rather fabulous events. Theatre trips, holidays, product launches and swanky dinners to name a few. I didn’t get into blogging for the freebies and perks, but they do soften the blow of the late nights and early mornings I have put in to make my blog the success it is.
3. Blogging had giving me endless opportunities for improving my writing and finding my style. I harbor dreams of being a published children’s author one day so this blog has been a welcomed chance to just write and write and write.
4. Aside from having my children’s books in print I would fall over myself to be published in a woman’s glossy once in a while. The opportunities I have had for making professional contacts through blogging has proved invaluable on my path to achieve this. The editors, writers and media agencies in London I have connected with over the past 2 years had given me advice and opportunities I would never before have had.
5. Finally, through blogging I have been able to rediscover the pride of having something of my own. After pressing the pause button on my teaching career (and subsequently deciding I will most likely never return) I struggled to find something to put my efforts and energy into. Blogging has saved my sanity and given me a much-needed project.
